Spread the love Derren Litten is an English comedian and actor who was born on December 21, 1970. He is best known for co-writing the award-winning The Catherine Tate Show, for which he created and played a variety of roles in the first two seasons as well as the 2005 Christmas Special. He’s also appeared in a number of comedies and dramas, including Perfect World, French and Saunders, Spaced, EastEnders, Green Wing, and Richard Griffiths’ Pie in the Sky. Benidorm, in which he was the primary writer and Steve Pemberton co-wrote a few episodes from Season 1,2,4,5, and 6, was produced for ITV1 in 2007 and has been re-commissioned for a sixth series. Benidorm was nominated for a number of awards, including one for best comedy. He had several roles in the Benidorm Easter Special and Series 4 Episode 6 as well. He did write for an episode of Only Fools and Horses spin-off Green Green Grass, and he is also listed as the writer of an episode of Not Going Out. In 2013, the Benidorm ensemble was included in a one-off skit for Sport Relief. Several of the characters sang on Britain’s Got Talent in the skit. On ITV, the sixth season premiered on January 2, 2014.
